It needs to be on record and the info must be passed on.
Mark Dever, Ligon Duncan, and Al Mohler put this statement up on facebook in support of CJ Mahaney. Then the negative comments came rolling in. First they tried to delete comments. Then when they were overwhelmed with the flood they deleted the statement.
Fortunately a certain Bill Kinnon took a screen shot of it before it disappeared.

T4G Statement in defense of Mahaney
Be of good cheer. The outcry against T4G and TGC and their misguided support of CJ Mahaney is getting louder and louder.
(Edited to add that T4G has put their statement up on their own site but have disallowed comments... cowards... They won't be able to hide behind the lies they believe forever. The flood of truth will overtake them eventually.)

I think it's time to take heed of the BibleScripture injunction not to worry over evil men (I mean the one in Psalm 37).
Although gifted leaders (as distinct from anointed/called shepherds, prophets, teachers etc) are good at self-promoting and appearing significant, many of these men - for all the damage they appear to have done - have never been more than a passing vapour.
Those who've been chewed up and spat out by their "churches" need to learn to stand tall, rejoice that we've been counted worthy of suffering for the Name of Jesus, and follow the real Shepherd.
Actually, I don't feel too much worried about them any more, though I think the term 'frustrated' would have described me better.
I was so frustrated that these 'leaders' were propped up and above questioning.
I see now than the tide is turning. They are being called on these things.
However, I do believe that there was/is a season of turning over the tables. There was/is a time for not sitting by and allowing questionable behavior and business practices to continue without scrutiny.
Perhaps now that the tide is turning, table turning is no longer needed.
We'll have to see.
Indeed - I don't think we should stop being the Church. "Elders" who sin, rebuke publicly in the presence of all etc - if they won't submit in the congregations they call their own, then accountability needs to come from elsewhere. Moreover, we are to expose the deeds of darkness even whilst having nothing to do with them.
But we can do it with authority. Those who have been "put out" of the small cliques that answer to these people, have merely taken their place in the greater Church.
